Week Clue
6 "As a yeti, I only come out of hiding for a mammoth reason. And here, it's to be a loud force to be reckoned with. So watch your step. Where I come from, too many yetis become monsters. But I had a secret weapon-a village of warrior women, who were always there to show me the way. Having them as motivators and teachers was golden and made me the abominable gentleman I am today. Knowing these warriors had my back gave me the confidence to go for the mountaintop when others wouldn't even dare. Yetis are usually chased from the village, but I way raised by it. Being here is a "thank you" to them. And you know they saved the best wildcard for the last."
7 ”Yetis may get lonely, but that's when you find self-growth. Many moons ago, I had a once-in-a-lifetime role that created an avalanche of success, but my ego caused tons of chaos, and it all blew up. I blamed everyone else, and I buried the feeling of failure deep inside of my icy core. I tried to forget that it happened, but I couldn't escape hearing about the wreckage. I felt so lonely. But that's when I grew, and when I got the twice-in-a-lifetime chance to do it again, I realized that I was actually to blame for the mess. So, I left my ego behind. It helped open my heart, and now I hope to glide into yours with this song about that feeling I know all too well.”
8 “Whoa, it is weird coming out like this."
Producer: "How do you feel?"
"Incredible. Last week, I just connected with the music and showed off, you know, a secret skill--skating."
Producer: "So diving below the surface...what's something not a lot of people know about you?"
"I’m really just a family Yeti. When my daughter was born, I dropped everything to be the first to hold her. It was so important to me because my nana was the first to hold me, and we have an unbreakable bond. I didn’t find purpose in life until I became a dad. My children are always pushing me to be bold. So tonight, I got a whole new set of moves I hope they love.”
9 "It feels so good to be the last wildcard standing. Each week, I try to show off a new side to myself. And I'm pretty sure I'm the first person to perform rollerblade ballad on this show. Yes, indeed. It was risky. I mean, whoa. You know, my suit is very heavy. I love 'The Masked Singer.' It allows me to show other aspects of my skill as a performer. You don't have the pressure of wanting to be perfect. People have to look deeper. Now, I get to show off yet another side with one of my favorite country songs, which I've never even sung in the karaoke before. Because this Abominable Showman is ready for the semifinals. And speaking of showman, one of my greatest inspirations is Diddy, who I've been lucky to work with. He helped me reach the top of the mountain. Yes, indeed."
10 "This experience for me has been about keeping an open mind. It's something that I learn to do later in life. And I think that's why I made it so far. Growing up without my dad, the pitcher was hard. Even though I still had my family. When I was a grownup, he knocked on my door. And I had a choice - open myself up to life or close the door. I opened the door. Not only inviting forgiveness, but new possibilities that even lead me here. See, by leaving the resentment out, I could walk a new path paved with possibility. And just like my journey on The Masked Singer, it's time to celebrate how far I've come."
