Trivia[]
- Vodyanoy was the first annonced mask of season 5. His title card was published in the press on January 18, a week before the first TV promo of the masks.
- The mask itself and Vodyanoy's first song were inspired by an eponymous character of the Soviet cartoon "Летучий Корабль" ("The Flying Ship"), a live-action adaptation of which was the one of main sponsors of season 5.
- Another character of "Летучий Корабль", Babka-Yozhka, would later appear in episode 7 as a guest mask.
- Due to similarity with his father, Bedros Kirkorov, Philipp Kirkorov was jokely acting like Vodyanoy is Bedros.
- The judges previously had a minor guess that Stas could be Zayats in season 2.
- Vodyanoy would later make a cameo in Denis Klyaver's "Любовь с первого взгляда" ("Love at First Sight") music video. Stas Yarushin played the main role in this video.
- According to Stanislav's unmasked interview, in episode 5 he would have performed the rock version of song "Сойти с ума" by Reflex.
