The Masked Dancer was a reality dancing competition television programme. The show featured celebrities wearing costumes of their choice. They dance each day/week, trying to make it to the finale, in which they win the Masked Dancer trophy. After all the masks had performed, the dancer with the lowest amount of votes, will be revealed.
The show was hosted by Joel Dommett, with panelists Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Oti Mabuse, and Jonathan Ross.
The show was first aired on ITV on May 29, 2021 when Britain's Got Talent was on a year break due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In 2024, it was confirmed that the show was cancelled after two series.[1]
