The Snail is a hyper-realistic costume. His skin is textured and bumpy and the red shell is accented with silver gems. He wears a velvet bow tie at the bottom of his neck and a top hat sits on top of the shell. Two yellow eyes sit atop an open mouth with teeth.

- Snail is the first fictional character to compete on the American version of The Masked Singer and the first contestant who was a puppet, later being followed by Snøroboten on Maskorama and Etzinho on The Masked Singer Brazil.
- In an interview after being unmasked, Kermit revealed that the next song he would have performed was "I'm a Believer" by The Monkees, which would later be the group performance for The Spicy 6 - The Competition Heats Up!.[2] He also said he was going to do “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift
- In another interview after his unmasking, Kermit revealed that his girlfriend, Miss Piggy, was also supposed to appear on the show, but she refused to wear one of the masks.[3]
- The Snail and one of the Russian Dolls are the only costumes to be armless.
- Eagle made a cameo appearance in Snail's clue package.
- The Snail is the second contestant that doesn't need the costume's head to be revealed, the first being Baby Alien. In Snail's case, he just needed the top hat to be removed.
- Kermit the Frog is the second frog on The Masked Singer US, with the first being Frog, revealed to be Bow-Wow. He would be followed by Prince, revealed to be Cheyenne Jackson.
- The Dancers in Snail's first and only performance are similar to the Masked Singer Kukka (Flower)
- Kermit’s puppeteer, Matt Vogel, was inside the Snail costume. Vogel explained in an interview that he got around inside the costume in a motorized wheelchair.
- The Snail along with Thingamajig were used for photo-ops at the filming for Season 8.
- Kermit returned as a guest on the Muppets Night episode in Season 8.
- His puppeteer, Matt Vogel also reappeared again in Season 9, portraying Big Bird and Count Von Count in Sesame Street Night.
- Both Jenny and Nicole's first impression guess for Snail was Adam Carolla, who would eventually be unmasked as Avocado.
- Snail's intro song was "I Want To Break Free" by Queen. Ugly Sweater would later sing it in Season 11 for his third performance.
