Season 4 of The Masked Singer Brasil premiered on January 21, 2024 and concluded on April 7, 2024.
Production[]
At the start of last season, TV Globo announced that the series was already renewed for a fourth season. On October 20, 2023, during a press conference, it was announced the starting date and end date for the season, which would have twelve episodes. It was also announced the addition of the two new panelists José Loreto and Paulo Vieira, replacing Eduardo Sterblitch and Mateus Solano, alongside the new backstage host Kenya Sade, replacing the previous backstage host and winner Priscilla Alcantara. During this press conference, it was also revealed two new costumes for the season, those being Cuco and MC Porquinha.[1]
On January 17, 2023, they revealed a few mechanics of the season, such as the Masked Sino and the Mascarados Virtuais. It was also confirmed that the fourth episode of the season will be the Carnaval themed episode, where the audience will see the return of the panelist Taís Araújo, who was unable to participate on the first three episodes due to a surgery. In her place, Marcelo Serrado and Heloísa Périseé return as guest panelists.[2]
Masked Sino[]
Like the American version, the Brazilian version added their own take of the Ding Dong Keep it On Bell, now named as Masked Sino or Masked Bell, each one of the panelists will be able to use the bell and save one of the contestants from elimination during double elimination episodes. The contestants will then be allowed to stay, without unmasking. Later, it was clarified that the bell can be used during any episode.
Mascarados Virtuais[]
As Adriano Rico, the show's artistic supervisor said: "We had four celebrities who went to Globo Studios. We captured their movements walking and dancing. After a post-production process by Globo's Special Effects Department, they will be here on the show's stage performing to be judged by the audience and, maybe, unmasked". On March 12, during a teaser for the ninth episode, the format was revealed, where the contestants who were sent to risk have to guess who the virtual mask of the episode is. If they guess correctly, they'll be able to save themselves from elimination.
