Season 2 of the Mexican version of The Masked Singer premiered on October 11, 2020,[1] and concluded on December 13, 2020.
Production[]
The second season began taping on August 24, 2020.[2] However, on September 17, 2020, it was announced that production on the season was suspended immediately following positive test results of COVID-19 among its talent and production team, including panelist Consuelo Duval and host Omar Chaparro.[3]
On September 18, 2020, it was revealed that host Omar Chaparro, co-host Natalia Téllez and panelists Carlos Rivera, Consuelo Duval, and Yuri would be returning for the new season, as well as a new panelist would join them. It was also mentioned that the season will contain 18 contestants, bumping it up from season one's 16 contestants.[4]
On September 24, 2020, it was revealed that the new panelist who would take Adrián Uribe's place would be the influencer Juanpa Zurita.[5]
On September 28, 2020, it was announced that production would resume, now that Consuelo Duval and Omar Chaparro had recovered from COVID-19.[6]

On December 5, 2020, as part of Teletón 2020, a special mini-program was held where Carlos Rivera, Consuelo Duval, Juanpa Zurita and Mario Bautista formed the judging panel, with Yuri as the host. The program consisted of a face-off between three contestants wearing second season masks, and a "Máscara vs. Máscara" to determine the winner.
