Season 1 of Ca Sĩ Mặt Nạ - The Masked Singer Vietnam (produced by DatVietVAC Group Holdings) was announced on July 6, 2022, and premiered on July 16, 2022. The season was broadcast on YouTube, HTV2 - Vie Channel and the website VieOn. After commencing, season 1 has received much love and attention from Vietnamese audiences. The keyword "The Masked Singer Vietnam" started to appear on many social media platforms. People were attracted by the singers' beautiful voices and curious about their true identities under the masks. The season came to an end on November 19, 2022.

In the year of 2022, The Masked Singer Vietnam won the titles of "The most popular TV and digital platform program" at the 28th annual Mai Vàng Awards Ceremony (Golden Apricot Blossom Awards). Ngô Kiến Huy, the MC of this show won the titles of "Favorite Master of Ceremony" in the same year.
The Vietnamese version uses the term "mascot" as a way to call contestants, instead of mask or costume like other countries.

This is possibly the first time in The Masked Singer franchise that the newest songs were appeared on the show for the first time. The producer of the show commissioned musicians to compose the newest songs for contestants or the contestants composed themselves.
