Pearly King is a large lion with an even larger mane, donned entirely with pearl studded clothing to make him live up to his name.

4 "Last time, I put the 'east' into 'beast', and I was a roaring success. The panel has still not clawed their way into my identity. As a Pearly King, I demand to rule instead of London. But I also ruled another land before this one. But I know what your all thinking, "Haven't I seen you before on the old custard and jelly?" That might be true. But you possibly also seen me on this DVD. Now I'm trying to look and hide my identity with this mask. But I'll let you in on a secret, my golden mane reminds me of a famous face I once worked with. Am I going to tell you who I am? Absolutely not! Tonight, I'm jazzing things up and I hope you like the way I move."
5 "My last performance had a right jazzy leader. The panel thought I might be the king of the jungle. But they need to keep hunting if they want to catch my real name. How's about I tell you an old weep and well? It's a story about a young cub. He'd often stray in different directions for his pride. Eventually, he parked up his crowded space, and ventured out into the world. Thanks to a departure, he was able to make his arrival. A very success. Tonight, forget Simba. It's time for this lion to samba."
6 "Last time, the panel tried to land a name on this beast. Come on panel, give me some real guesses I can tuck into. Okay, okay, we are getting into it now. Are your ready to hear some brass tracks? What can I tell you, I'm not your typical male but what you get is what you say. I like to make people happy. I don't wanna fight and I like to see the world every river deep, mountain high. Truthfully, I've been nothing but honest with you here, my old china plate. Tonight, I am putting the modern into modern stomp."
7 "The panel thought they cooked up some wild names. But I am planning on keeping them guessing til the very end. It's the semi-final and they're not gonna crack it yet. I wouldn't be a king without stamina and I've been lucky to have a career that's gone from strength to strength. I might be covered in pearls now, but sparkling objects have always been part of my life. Even as a cub, I was surrounded by a palace of diamonds. That doesn't mean that life is always bright. All of us have moments in our past that you could call a horrible history. But now, I am looking to the future and the possibility of reaching the final. Tonight, I'm on the prowl with a spot of jam."
8 "In my last performance, the panel were sure they had me. But you can't tame a wild beast and I am the wildest of them all. It's the Grand Final. Any guarantee to get a butchers hook at who I am. But would you have scored correctly? Will you rise to the challenge or will you 'pasa' on the opportunity to name me? This Pearly King has worked with his female equivalent. Who is Pearly King? Olive you to decide that. Tonight, it's time to rock out for the Grand Final."
