Hey, make sure you get my good side. Boo! I'm the Monster. I'm bright, bold and you can say I'm a big personality. I've got these large monster arms because I've come to the UK to grab every opportunity in this competition. Now I'm not someone to blow my own trumpet, but I feasted on a lot of awards. Am I nervous about performing. Haha No. I eat confidence for breakfast. I can't wait to get into beast mode and show this audience what I'm made of. Y'all ready to hear me roar?
I was over the moon with my last performance. The panel's comments couldn't have been any better. They think they've guessed who I am, but I think they made a monster-sized mistake. When I think about it, I've always tried to be a bit of a showman. Life in the spotlight lets you create your own reality. You can create characters for your own story. As a child I had a hunger for books. I was a real book worm. But I could also be a real little monster. It was in my little monster years, that I discovered my love for rock 'n' roll. My mum bought me an amp and a bass, it made me feel so cool. I've always wanted to be an individual. Glam rock inspired me. I didn't want to be another cookie-cutter monster. I like to do my own thing.
In my last performance, I gave my best Elvis. The panel didn't help falling in love with me. The panel thought they had me figured out but now they're not so sure. Yes, I'm a monster but I once was a giant. People might think as a monster you're more likely to be alone, but that's not true. I come from a big monster family and music was always a huge part of my life. We'd all gather round in the lounge and do talent shows for each other. It was a relative who encouraged my gift when they heard me singing in the shower, I guess they liked the sound of my voice. Now I'm blessed to have a big family of my own. I got little monsters that belong to me and they got little monsters that belong to them. There's a big, blue beautiful bunch of monsters.
In my last performance, the Osmond threw them a curveball. They've gone from man to woman and back again. But at the end of the day, we're all human. This monster has a sense of humour. I even dipped a paw or two in comedy before. Deep beneath this fur coat is a big old blue funny bone. Did you ever hear that one about the celebrity behind the furry mask? Tonight, I'm going to make you smile. I just like making people happy.
Last time I proved to be a monster hit with the panel. Monster's having to much of a good time to go home now. I love to dress up and look good. Why? because I'm all about the showmanship, it's all costume. Costumes aren't just for Halloween, although I have been linked to vampires and mummies. Everything I do is an extension of the artistry and the individuality and I hope it brings people as much joy as it does me.
