I hope that joke wasn't too cheesy. They say it's never too late to start, and trust me I should know. I might be a lionfish, but I'm very gentle, I promise! I only use my barbs to defend myself when absolutely necessary. So fear not, I'm here to have a good time and I'm hoping to get under the skins of this fabulous costume."

Trivia

• Lionfish is the second UK contestant to sing a song in a foreign language, after Duck.
• Lionfish is the third UK contestant to not sing his final song after being unmasked. He sung "I Will Always Love You" instead of "Stop This Flame". The first was Hedgehog who sung "Cry Me a River" and the second was Harlequin who sung "Everything I Wanted".
• The judges guessed Will Young to be Robin and Badger. However, they were played by Aston Merrygold and Ne-Yo.
• Davina guessed Lionfish to be Macy Gray, however, she competed as Atlantis in the third Australian season and Sea Queen in the tenth American season.
• Lionfish was originally designed for the first series of the Masked Dancer but was moved to the Masked Singer after none of the participating celebrities had chose the costume.
