3 | "Ay-oh! Ay-oh! Let’s hear those claps! I’m Freddie. Freddie Veggury, I’m a singer. And in music, sometimes I’m tough, and sometimes I’m cheesy, because I love everything from Los Trigos del Norte to Chicharitos Verdes. Of course, I can’t forget that I love Jefferson Airplane and, obviously, Queen. Thank you very much. As you may have noticed, I come from the blessed north, from the Espinoza de los Monteros orchard, and to get here, I’ve worked all kinds of jobs, from wrestler to dinosaur. Grr! But without a doubt, my thing, my thing is music, yee-haw! For now, I sing at weddings, baptisms, and first communions, and the occasional wake, right? Although I don’t really like those because the crowd is hard to get excited. I’ve been on both sides of the border doing what I love; singing on buses to survive. In fact, that’s how I made it here. Since I was a baby carrot, I dreamed of being on stage, which is why I’d make my drum set with household items and play from the moment I opened my eyes until my family sent me to bed. Yes, sir, long live the north! Some call me the man of the skies because I’m always daydreaming, well, guess what? I’ve woken up, and I’m here on the stage of ¿Quién es la Máscara? to show all my talent for the first time on TV. Ay-oh! And hold on tight, here I go! Yee-haw!" |
