The Mallard has a black top hat with a feather on it and a full on suit. His face is green with a golden monocle around his eye. He has black feathers around his neck and waist. He also wears orange pants and black dress shoes.

- The mask was first teased in a preview on July 13, 2021[1] before officially being revealed on August 11, 2021.[2]
- Although named "Mallard", the mask's facial markings strongly resemble a different species of duck: the wood duck.
- In The Official Masked Singer Podcast, it is revealed that Ken mentioned Bill Clinton while guessing who Mallard is in the third episode.
- Ken mentioned Clinton due to the saxophone, which is an instrument Bill Clinton played in an appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show.
- Robin's "First Impression" guess was Larry The Cable Guy who was the Baby in the same season.
- During his unmasked interview, Willie's wife made an appearance.
- Mallard's song "Fly" by Sugar Ray is one of the best-known hits by Orca's portrayer, Mark McGrath. It was also the walk-in song for Hummingbird in Season 8.
- Nicole's final guess for Mallard was Dog the Bounty Hunter, who later appeared on the show as Armadillo.
