Clues[]

Week Clue
6 "There's something about the night that's so deliciously mysterious, with its tendrils in everything, just like me. Like an angel, I've felt deeply blessed my entire life. Doors have always opened for me. While fame has sometimes brought me down like a landslide, I've always been able to find a light. This positive attitude is my best magic trick and the key to my success. But man, I feel like this angel can't be good all the time. That boy is mine. It's my prerogative to have a little fun, y'all. So tonight, I've chosen a song that's a little bit dangerous and a little bit sweet, just like me."
7 "Wow, being on that stage revitalizes my confidence and reminds me of the joy I have for music. Years ago, I was sitting up in my room, surrounded by other angels that lost in the crowd. I had a thirst for more. So bang, bang, I left my safe place and chose to fall down to Earth. Real talk, being on my own was scary because I felt rejection for the first time. But I taught myself how to survive. I hustled, and with hard work and commitment, built an empire. Destiny led me back to the stage. And hopefully, I can give you a million reasons why I belong here."
8 "Becoming 'the Night Angel' has been so therapeutic. I've been doing this since I was a teen, but I've never felt as free as I do under this mask. Here's a friend from high school to tell you a little more about those early days."
(Night Angel's Friend): "Night Angel always had to juggle school with chasing her dream, so she missed out on a lot, like senior prom. But one thing she was determined not to miss was earning her diploma. Our graduation conflicted with a huge career opportunity for her, but she refused to miss that day she'd worked so hard for because that's just Night Angel. She's always stayed true to herself despite the fame that's come her way. So girl, you've earned this. Get out there and shout your talent from that stage."
9 "My time on this show has honestly felt like cloud nine. I've avoided putting myself front and center for years. I get scared of standing alone after facing rejection in my past. And helping others for so long has made spreading my own wings feel incredible. Even though I'm behind a mask, I feel like I can see endless possibilities in my future, thanks to this show. And that's why tonight, I've chosen a song that's become my new mantra. But first, I know you want an easy clue, but not tonight. I'd rather cruise on by you with a tricky one."
10 Kangaroo: "The Night Angel is the Goliath to my David. When I see her confidently stomping all over the stage during her performances, I feel terrified. Performing looks effortless for her."
Night Angel: "I can't think of a more worthy adversary than Kangaroo. Her performances so far have shown true vulnerability. And it's something the panel have picked up on over and over again."
Kangaroo: "It's no secret that I started out in this competition as a ball of nerves under this mask. But I feel like I'm getting stronger and stronger each week."
Night Angel: "Honestly, I may come off confident, but I have a secret. Kangaroo worries me. The fact is that her strength, that vulnerability, is my exact weakness. So I may seem like Goliath, but I can't forget."
Kangaroo: "David slayed Goliath."
Night Angel: "Well, we're about to rewrite history, Kangaroo. Because I'm here to stay."
12 "When I first got the call to be on 'The Masked Singer', I had no idea what a blessing it would be. I've gotten a lot of calls in my life, some good, some bad, some that even upended my life. But the key to my success is I answered them all. Do you ever feel alone? Need a person to talk to? Well, free your mind. And dial the Angel Hotline. Press 1 for thoughts, 2 for prayers. Being here has reawakened parts of myself I've been keeping on the down low, reminding me I don't have to go chasing anyone else. I can stand alone. So tonight, I'm leaving a message for the competition that this angel's not afraid to fly. Don't let go. Calls are $2.85 per minute. Must be 2,000 or older to call."
13 "Last week, I hit a high point. Their comments made me reflect on how far I've come since my musical journey started when I was just four years old. My auntie noticed me singing my favorite song into a hairbrush, Donna Summer's 'Last Dance'. Right there, she took me under her wing and taught me all about rhythm and tone. And while you haven't always known me for music, I've been able to sing through passion and through pain. I need to make it through to the semifinals. So tonight, this kid from the south is going to show everyone what my auntie taught me and prove why this is not my last dance."
14 "It's absolutely divine that I've made it this far. I've worked so hard and been through so much, all leading up to this moment. In fact, it feels like fate. See, I'm 'the Night Angel' because, years ago, someone close to me passed. And it ripped my world apart. Ever since that day, I've felt like I had my own guardian angel, an invisible hand that's helped guide me towards my successes. Losing that person has been a constant reminder to me that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. It sort of taught me to take big risks. And tonight, I'm doing just that by putting my own twist on a song far outside my comfort zone. With you by my side, I know I can do anything."
15 "When I first got here, I was terrified of failure. Because for so long, I had convinced myself, that I wasn't enough. And this experience allowed me to take that fear and channel it into something far more powerful, a confidence I never knew I could have. When I didn't find success as a solo artist, I decided to develop other businesses behind the scenes in music. I did what I had to do because I'm a mother. But as my kids have grown, it's gotten harder to tell them to chase their dreams when I wasn't chasing my own. So I'm here to win, not just for myself, but for all women, and for my little angels, to show them it's never too late to be the person you were meant to be."
