- This article is about Cô M23. For other mascot with the same identity, see Chuột Cherry.
Cô M23 (Translated as Miss M23) is a masked celebrity guest on Sóng 23, the special episode of the first Vietnamese season of The Masked Singer Vietnam. Her appearance was meant to announce that she will be one of the contestants of the second season.
Even though she promised to participate in Season 2, no one saw her whereabouts. It wasn't until the last episode of the season that she was revealed to have changed her looks to Chuột Cherry - the Top 7 Finalist of this season, surprising the audience.
Appearance[]
Cô M23 resembles Hathor, an Egyptian goddess, wearing a long thin white dress with jewelry accessories around the neck and matching with white gloves and white lace-up boots. Her mask is that of a Lynx cat, having blue eyes, cow horns and a sun disk on top of the mask.

Trivia[]
- This is the second time in The Masked Singer franchise where a contestant is introduced and performed long before joining the official season, following Uruguay's Caniche.
- Cô M23 is the third contestant in masked singer history to have numbers in their name, with the first being 22B and the second was Dragon3.
- According to Cô M23 in the special program Sóng 23, the reason why her name was "Cô M23" was because she joins Sóng 23 (her name has the number "23" in it). So this could be a hint that her name could be changed in the official season 2 of The Masked Singer Vietnam.
- However, there are some theories that her name "Cô M23" could be inspired from the year of 2023, and the letter "M" stands for "Mèo" or "Miêu" (In Vietnam, Lunar new year 2023 is a year of the Cat on the Vietnamese zodiac). With the appearance, she looks like a goddess of 2023 year.
- With the twist that Cô M23 changed her looks to Chuột Cherry before the season premiere, it also created a first stir in the history of The Masked Singer Vietnam when the guest mascot of Season 1's special episode was also another main mascot of the next season.
- Nhật Thủy is well-known for impersonating other Vietnamese singer's voices excellently, and Cô M23 is also shown her technique skill of impersonating other singer's voice, in particular, singer Hồ Ngọc Hà's voice during her performance in Sóng 23. Coincidentally, Nhật Thủy used to impersonate singer Hồ Ngọc Hà's voice before.
- Until now, Cô M23, Miêu Quý Tộc, and Báo Mắt Biếc are the three mascots representing the cat genus in The Masked Singer Vietnam.
Notes[]
- ↑ Sun Water is a nickname from fans to jokingly call Nhật Thủy, as both words of her name "Nhật" and "Thủy" come from Sino-Vietnamese respectively, 日 (“sun, day”) and 水 ("water").
- ↑ This nickname was given by singer Hồ Ngọc Hà to Nhật Thủy after listening to Nhật Thủy impersonated other singer's voice excellently when Hồ Ngọc Hà was a judge in Your Face Sounds Familiar Vietnam 2019.
