“Ooo! Hello! Almost didn’t see you there! Nice to meet you. I’m Bush! People might think being a bush is a bit boring, but I don’t let em’ drag me down. I’m quite happy pottering about here with my plant friends, making them all feel special. Stage-managing where they all go. Time flies when you’re having fun. Do you know what made me want to do The Masked Singer? Well, I thought it’s time to branch out, show just how versatile a bush can be. You can watch me grow! I’m not looking to upstage anyone, but I’m ready to stop hiding my light under a bushel. Time to be a bit “tree-atrical”. No more playing around. I’ll show ‘em I’m no coward. Ah, this bush needs a little tidy before I get up on stage again. Now where did I put those secateurs?”

“Hello again! Oh, I made it through my first performance! Unbe-leaf-able! The panel think they’re getting close to my real identity, but I’ll soon nip that in the bud. I was just chatting to the shrubs out back, and they think it’s wild. They’re hoping for another koala-ty performance from this bush tonight. Performing can be a bit “trowel” and error, but I’ve been practising to avoid my scales sounding faulty. I can check that off my list now. As a bush, if I feel unsteady out there, I can just slap aa bit of stick in as a bit of extra support. But if you think I can’t stomach the competition, you’re about to get egg on your face. This bush has been revitalised, and I’ve really mastered the basics. But who knows if I’ll make it this time? Anyway, the secret is not to take life too seriously. Comedy is central when you’re a bush. Oh, shh, Bush, you’re saying too much!”

“How am I feeling to have made it to the halfway point? Tree-mendous! But those guesses from the panel, ha! Sort it out. It’s beggar’s belief that I’m still here. I’m a right lucky so-and-so, but don’t worry this bush isn’t out of control, I’ve got my roots firmly planted. I know, I look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards, but I’ve been very busy with my day job, gotta stay on top of these plants. For every ten, I find that there are two that start to behave a little bit funny, springing leaves all over the place! Just like when you think a Bush is gone for good only for it to pop up again, we plants like to improvise. I wonder if the panel have been bothering to pay attention. After all knowledge is flower-ful, and I am ready to bloom tonight.“

“I am over the moon to have made it this far, haven’t they twigged yet? I feel a right silly billy for having doubted myself, after all I’ve been doing this since I was a little shrub. I don’t know what impression you’ve got of this Bush but I’m a Hardy Perennial although I have found an annual pruning keeps the garden in order. Believe me when I say a Bush is never seen but not heard, though has been heard but not seen! Is it just me is it roasting in here? Anyway, I don’t know about you but I’m still on the hedge of my seat, am I going to make it through to the Semi-Final tonight?“

“Can I speak to your branch manager? Who let this Bush through to the Semi-Finals? Last week really was A Night to Remember, let’s hope I’m the toast of the town tonight. We’ve pruned down a lot of the competition, but there’s still some way to go! Where did you come from? The Masked Singer is a marathon not a sprint, so I need to carry on and keep going — stand up on that stage and “Bush“ myself to the limit! It’s been one times grander than I expected, and I’m not ready to be dropped. This stuff just feels right. Like a lot of Bushes, I need support, and family is very important, both the ones you see and the ones you don’t! I won’t nurse a grudge if I go out now, no-one likes a prickly Bush, but I hope you’re all rooting for me tonight!“
