4 "Becoming Boogie Woogie feels like disco destiny, 'cause my whole childhood, I'd do anything to be the center of attention. And look at this guy. He's certainly capturing the spotlight. Back in the day, I had extravagant dreams...of being a clown. So I taught myself to juggle. Then in high school, I shifted to more serious aspirations: being a magician! I even entered a talent show and won. When I graduated, the only job I could hustle up was busking, which didn't exactly pay the bills. It was more panic, less disco. But I trusted that this was my calling, because I believe in a thing called doing what you love. And one moment can change everything. Now Apollo, the god of music himself, has called me up here to add The Masked Singer to my resumé, right under magician and clown."
5 "Just like in Ghostbusters, when there are ghosts everywhere, you know what I do? I put on my headphones and I just keep moving. You want to gossip? Super not my thing! I try to keep it positive with everything I do. It's something I learned from my parents at a very young age. I mean, they make kids shows, so it makes sense. They did everything they could do to give me a really good life. Little did I know, this sunny outlook would spark my whole career, and that's what I've become known for. I've been told that my positivity radiates and that it's even saved lives. Imagine that! But of course, with all the optimism comes criticism. Some people call me naive, sheltered, fake. I'm not going to lie: that hurts. But I'm not going to stop being me. I can't. And if it continues to make people happy, then I have done my job. For tonight only, I'm tapping into a darkness that I never show, to spook the competition."
6 "The halls of the Grand Ole Opry have been filled with some of the best voices of all time, but for me, there was no one with a better voice than my mom. She and my dad were musicians and they filled the halls of our home with happy songs and uplifting lyrics. I guess you can say that's where I got it — there must have been something in the water. But a few years ago I lost my mom — and suddenly the house was quiet. It was empty. On that day I was changed. A darkness washed over me and I was out of hope. I found it hard to keep going. The one thing I did have was her recordings, so I began playing her music. Suddenly, I felt the rooms fill with her warmth again. I miss her every day, but hearing her voice is the next best thing to having her here. Tonight, I have faith that I've got an angel on my side."
10 "I gotta say, I never anticipated enjoying a competition like this so much. But — spoiler alert — there's no one enjoying this more than my kids. Everything I do is for them and I just can't wait for the moment when we're all sat on the couch and they realize it was me under here the whole time. Now feast your eyes on this colossal clue!" 11 "I have a case of disco fever watching my hunky husband on that stage. You can tell he is truly having so much fun — which is my biggest hope for him. I remember how hard he took the loss of his mother. I had never seen him so low. He channeled all of his grief into his writing and he made some of the most inspiring hits because of it. He's inspired my music, too. And, while he'd never mention it himself, I'm here to share that his work has helped so many others process their own grief, overcome illness, and, honestly, some fans have even said saved their lives. He's a light for so many people. I'm so lucky I get to stand in his glow. Boogie, baby, this is your golden hour. Now go out there and get that Golden Mask trophy!"
