2 | Beety: There's no place like home, and wouldn't we know it? Home for us has been wherever we're together, and for a moment, we had millions of eyes on us. Green: Yeah, forty million of them. And even when it felt like the world was trying to pit us against each other, we've always had each other's back. Beety: Of course. We're family. We work so well together. I mean, his big old brain. Green: And his unbeatable heart. Guess all we need now is to find the nerve to turn up together on this stage. It'll be like going back to our roots. Beety: Wait a second. Who's Dorothy and who's Toto in this relationship? Green: Well, I am the feisty one, so, clearly, I'm Toto. Probably time to click your heels three times, Dorothy, and take us to stage. Beety: Here we go! |
8 | Green: Last time, we really brought it home, so, the pressure's on to pay homage to the ladies tonight. Like the best girl groups out there, we both bring our own spice. I was the total ladies' man. Beety: And I was the tough guy. Green: Two guys who couldn't be any more different. But we didn't try to outdo each other. Instead, like a good girl group, we teamed up. Beety: It was our organic friendship that made us a delicious duo and kept us on menus nationwide. Green: Yeah, we're still touring, hitting the town. Beety: We'd be so excited to make it to the Group B finale, and tonight is the night we're gonna make it happen. |
9 | Green: Performing on Girl Group Night was so exciting! We didn't realize just how much we loved becoming the Beets, and tonight, we hope to be un-beet-able in the group finale. Producer: So, what song did you choose and why? Beety: We chose a really powerful song. It's about a single moment in your life that shows you what you're capable of. And for us, that moment was when we each became fathers. Green: I always wanted to be a dad, but I wasn't sure it would happen for me. So, when I held my child for that very first time, my world changed. Beety: Yeah, for me, I suddenly realized the impact of every decision I made, but it's not a perfect road. Like now, my kid repeats everything I say, so I have to be really careful. Green: You have to be careful? I'm teaching my son to drive, though, at least the hubcaps are still on. Beety: Well now, let's go out and make a new pivotal moment. By hitting those high notes, this one's for you, little beets. |
