Bagpipes is supposed to look like the traditional Scottish instrument. He has two tubes on the head, representing antlers, and a plaid body. His limbs also resemble the tubes used to play the instrument.

Bagpipes is the only male UK Season 3 mask to lose their face-off.
Bagpipes is one of the few UK contestants to sing changed lyrics. Specifically "Her boyfriend's a dick/He brings a gun to school" from Teenage Dirtbag being changed to "Her boyfriend's a twit/He is no fun at school".
Bagpipes is the fourth UK contestant to not sing his final song after being unmasked. The first was Hedgehog who sung "Cry Me a River", the second was Harlequin who sung "Everything I Wanted" and the third was Lionfish who sung "I Will Always Love You".
Jonathan was so convinced that Bagpipes was John McEnroe that he stated that he would eat the costume's drone pipes if he wasn't. When he was revealed to be Pat Cash, Jonathan was seen at the end pretending to eat them.
He is the third sports star in the British version. The first was Tree and the second was Grandfather Clock.
Coincidentally, all 3 of them finished in 9th place.
The costume for Bagpipes was used in a segment of the eighteenth series of 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway' as a part of a new segment known as 'The Masked Humdinger', alongside the costumes for both Bush Baby & Viking.
