- The mask was first teased in a preview on November 1, 2022[1] with French Hen, Doll and Moose, before officially being revealed on February 12, 2023[2] along Gargoyle, Mustang, Dandelion, and Fairy.
- Axolotl sang "Can't Fight the Moonlight" by LeAnn Rimes, who won season four as Sun.
- Axolotl is the second wrestler on the show, following the Bride, and the first from the WWE promotion.
- Bliss revealed that if she had moved on, she would have performed "Check Yes, Juliet" by We the Kings and "This Is Me" from The Greatest Showman. She also had a dance planned for the "Country Night" Battle Royale.[3]
- The mask would later be reused for Axel l'Axolotl in the fifth season of Chanteurs Masqués.
