Маска. Танцы (Translated as Mask. Dancing) is a Russian reality dancing competition television series based on The Masked Dancer franchise. It premiered on CTC on October 9, 2022.
Production[]
On September 29, 2022, the CTC channel announced a new reality show based on The Masked Dancer format. The show's production company was revealed to be WeiT Media, the same company that previously worked on Маска.[1]
The names of four show panelists were announced immediately. They included actor and comedian Sergey Svetlakov, showman Timur Rodriguez, singer and blogger Klava Koka, and professional choreographer Egor Druzhinin.
On October 4, 2022, musician and frontman of The Hatters, Yuri Muzychenko, was introduced as the series' host. At the same time, the fifth panelist was revealed: actress Maria Gorban. [2]
Despite occasional rumors of a possible sequel, production of the show was halted indefinitely after the first season due to low ratings.
